The tulsi mandap raises the sacred basil plant to a place of honour in the home or courtyard. Twisted spiral columns support a deep, richly carved crown with floral and scroll relief, resting on an arched base niche traditionally used to hold a diya. Handcrafted from authentic natural stone by our Rajasthan artisans, available in pure white Makrana marble or deep black marble. A tapered black stone lotus-top variant is also available for a more minimal presentation.
The Tulsi plant is considered highly auspicious in Vastu. Place the mandap in the East, North, or Northeast — ideally a courtyard or balcony that receives morning sunlight — to invite health, purity, and positive energy. South-facing placement is traditionally avoided.
Offered as traditional cultural guidance, not a guarantee of outcome.
